A new scholarship for students pursuing construction careers will help attract more people to our industry. Jay Westman, chair and CEO of homebuilder Jayman Built, announced the funding effort at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology on Oct. 18. The funding campaign, which feeds BILD Alberta Scholarships for Construction Careers, will support students seeking training and employment in a number of related fields, such as carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying, cabinet making and roofing.
