Alberta’s construction industry created 6,600 new jobs last month, and nearly 16,000 new jobs year over year. That’s partly due to CLRA’s ability to negotiate flexible, competitive labour agreements for owners, employers and workers. Overall, the province’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.2% in October 2022, a decrease of 0.3% from September, and a decrease of 2.6% from the same month last year.
